Angry Justin

I've been slacking. You can say it. I ran out of inspiration. I need to just draw something I can see if I can't think of anything. Also so tired.
Need to work on facial expressions. Today: fury.

Much love to 3M

I drew on some post-it's while on a break at work.
A guy I passed while at the mall. I screwed up the eyes but I kinda like it.
Samurai Yoda?
Some dude. I like the hood on the jacket.

Whew!

So, as you can imagine, Halloween is an incredibly busy holiday with two children. By the time you get costumes and special events in AND work your second shift job you(meaning me) are completely exhausted! So I didn't quite keep up last week. Sorry . . . all 7 of you.

I didn't design the witch but I did draw the pattern freehand and enlarge it as the same time. And then there was the carving.
Also here is a still life of one of my son's toys that I did this morning when my daughter decided she was gonna get up and stay up at 6:30am. Weee!

Sweet, sweet Digits

Another hand. Trying to incorporate some cloth layers. This is from a photo, of course. Proportion seems to be good this time. :)

More Hands

More hands practice. I wanted to try some hand positions I might later draw with regularity. This one turned out pretty good.

This one . . . not so much. I have a giant pinky. And apparently I'm wearing a tin can sleeve.

Debut

Hello, all!

Welcome to my art blog. I'm starting this because I've been feeling like I need a creative outlet lately. I've always been an art fan, especially comics of all kinds, and even had some artistic skill once upon a time. I want to get back into it and I want you all to keep me honest and give my your opinions.

My goal is to do a sketch a day, no matter how big or small, just to get something down for practice. I eventually want to start posting a web-comic here, too. I want to share the process with every one and get feedback and/or advice along the way. So please comment when you have the time.

I haven't sketched today because i just thought of this like, 10 minutes ago, but I'm gonna post some sketches I did for a t-shirt idea for threadless.com. Hope you like them and look for more to come soon. ( as in tomorrow, i guess. )

I found that I love peanut butter and banana slices on toast. I was trying to express that on a t-shirt. I haven't scanned my banana yet.

Love,
Justin
